KWON Impact measurement History: From RAMSES 1988 to LAJUST 2009

Seeing the advantages and the potential of impact measurement devices for the martial artists already back in 1989,
Kwon registered a patent for a shock absorption display device based on air pressure technology. The prototype RAMSES was demonstrated in the German house at the Olympic games 1988 in Seoul. On the photo with TKD Legend Reinhard Langer hitting RAMSES with a punch.
In 2008, KWON signed a global co-operation contract with South Koreas premier impact measurement specialist LAJUST.
So far (status: July 2009), the LAJUST EIDSS sensor based impact measurement body protector is the only electronic Taekwondo body protector worldwide who obtained WTF recognition
For the future, we will further develop both our technologies,
with the air pressure technology focussing more on affordability and training use, and the sensor based LaJust technology focussing more on competition and professional use.
